Long bike rides really are amazing for disconnecting. Instead of turning my phone off at the beginning or end of the day, for me it’s during the middle when I go on my daily ride.

I need to adopt the phone off at 8pm play. That’s been one of the times that my tired brain really just resorts to doom scrolling and I could spend my time so much better. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Just did it last night for the first time! 1) I feel way more rested than usual this morning

2) anxiety didn’t pop me awake at 2am

3) I fell asleep earlier than usual

I think one of the big things that helped beyond turning it off was leaving it plugged in somewhere else in the house too. Having out of sight was key to me not getting tempted to turn it on and look at seemingly nothing

The retreat was indeed a transformative experience in the best way, and the lack of sleep was equally proportional to the value of it. What a week!

Oh phones. A blessing and a curse! Might give a couple of these a try. I also need to make one of these retreats before they are gone…. Looked like an epic team environment.
